If you attend a Tea Party, You might be an Extremist…

The Dept. of Homeland Security has put out a paper/study that attempts to demonize people who want less government like the new Tea Party movement with militias and the Weather Underground. This is certainly in line with the new thinking. If you don’t want what they want, you are a hater. Michelle Malkin reprints some interesting portions of the report including this little gem of wisdom:
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
So, if you believe in limited government, state’s rights, or are opposed to amnesty for undocumented workers/illegal aliens, you are a member of a hate group. Now, let me get this straight, Bill Ayers, Pres. Obama’s Weather Underground friend isn’t a problem for anyone. His Weather Underground bombings were not a problem for those who voted for Obama. But now, the Dept. of Homeland Security is concerned about groups like the New American Tea Party movement?
Now I know I will definitely go to a tea party. With any luck, I will at least get an FBI/DHS file about me and my subversive activities. This is utterly ridiculous.

Well, during the Bush era and the warrantless wiretapping and violations of Constitutional protection against warrantless searches, the neo-coonservatives were fond of proclaiming “if you’ve done nothing wrong, then you’ve nothing to worry about”.

Shouldn’t that same mindset hold true today? Or has the morbidity of hypocrisy come home to the practitioners of that black craft?

So, what’s the problem? Take it like real men and quit whining.

Thanks for the comment. I am not sure what “morbidity of hypocrisy” means, but I will be sure to take it up with the coven when we meet this afternoon. Regarding warrantless wiretapping, Obama has decided he needs the same power as the evil Bush, so I guess the mindset does hold true today. I guess they will take the wiretap off your phone and move it to mine. Come to think of it, I did hear some mysterious noises on my phone. Better go down to Walmart and buy some ammo for the standoff to come. How much whining did you do during the Bush Reign of Terror? My whole blog is a whine but please keep reading. Thanks again.
