My husband just got a notice from our health insurer that they will be paying for his March MRI. The clinic that performed the MRI had appealed to have the procedure paid for and the notice was to tell us that the insurance company was going to OK the procedure and pay their amount. That is fine.
Along with the nice letter, there was another piece of paper. The entire paper was covered front and back with one paragraph stating that you can call a special number if you are in California or your health insurance is issued in California if you need an interpreter to decifer the “OK, we are going to pay”letter. The paragraph was shown in Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Korean, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Punjabi, Persian, Japanese, Russian, Armenian, and Hmong. This is ridiculous. They killed a tree to print this nonsense. I do not live in California, though I suppose that there are those who work in California that work for the evil corporation my husband does.

Since last Saturday, Obama has said little about the elections in Iran and the uprising that is going against the rulers of Iran. He said it wasn’t right to appear to be meddling. Today, it is ok to meddle. I think he has read the polls. Now, he will have to apologize when he meets with them later on to tell them it is OK to have the bomb. If history is a guide, he will blame the meddling on some staffer and then bow.

Pres. Obama has stated that he doesn’t want to be perceived to be meddling in Iranian politics. He can’t seem to condemn the illegitimate election results. If meddling is bad, I guess that explains why he no longer says they can’t have the nuclear bomb. He doesn’t want to meddle.

SENATOR Boxer is evidently very hung up on her title and is also kind of rude about it. She castigates a General about not calling her ma’am, but rather SENATOR, because she worked so hard to become so important. It takes one to know one and she is definitely a bitch on wheels.

Pres. Obama really doesn’t like Fox News or Fox Business News. They get under his skin. He evidently doesn’t know that Fox News did exist before he became a political force and that they were quite successful in their approach. He is chicken to go on Fox and answer questions instead of taking softballs from Brian Williams and the meerkats on Animal Planet. I believe he doesn’t have the guts to stand up to real scrutiny without the heavy worship he gets from his favorite channel, MSNBC. If you don’t love him, you won’t get to interview him. Those are apparently the ground rules. ABC is getting ready to advocate for government healthcare and is following the rules. As long as Obama boycotts FOX, we should boycott ABC. Oprah isn’t the template for real reporting and investigative journalism. He only came on O’Reilly when his campaign was in trouble after the Joe the Plumber incident. I don’t think O’Reilly was really hard on him.

I am really creeped out by the President’s use of the term “Supreme Leader” in referring to the head mullah in charge/ayatollah of Iran. It is possible that other administrations used this term before, but I do not remember it. As Obama struggles to put the right spin on his concerns or lack thereof, I believe he goes beyond deference to refer to the Supreme Leader. It reminds me of the bow to the Saudi prince. It seems to validate the theocracy in the embodiment of the Ayatollah. I guess I should quit meddling in Obama’s affairs.

Letterman’s apology for the tasteless joke made about 2 of the Palin daughters was only issued after some sponsors started to make it known that he crossed the line. The joke was fine with him until he started feeling the heat.

If you thought GITMO was a recruiting tool for terrorism, now there is an even better tool to recruit for good positions in the terrorist groups of tomorrow. Get detained, go to Bermuda. Wow. Where can I sign up? The Afghans are lining up a Bagram to get their tickets to paradise. No, not the one with 72 virgins, the one with the beach and free flowing American Taxpayer’s money.

- Pres. and Mrs. Obama fire the Inspector General of Americorps because he is investigating the friend/mayor/former NBA player/supporter who got Americorps money for a nonprofit org and then misused it. Did not follow law/procedure for dismissing IG. Sent message to other IG’s. Don’t mess with our friends/supporters. Shades of Hillary and Travelgate.
- Justice Dept. doesn’t prosecute New Black Panthers engaging in voter intimidation in Philadelphia with billy clubs. Don’t mess with our voters, mess with theirs.
- Justice Dept. puts priority on making sure that the civil rights of suspected terrorists are prime consideration. FBI, CIA, Homeland Security all know that looking into suspected terrorists is a career ender.
- Self investigates administration ties to Blago. Press rolls over and plays dead.
