OK, Pres. Obama has probably never seen a black and white movie. (No racism implied here, so get over it.) Yesterday, Pres. Obama dropped in on Robert Gibbs last news briefing to thank him for his service. He presented Gibbs with the tie Obama had worn at the 2004 Democratic Convention speech that is often sited as the beginning of the eventual Obama presidency. Obama lauded Gibbs for “giving one to take one for to the Gipper”. When you hear a famous line botched like this, it really makes you wonder about the core of Obama’s principles.
He bastardizes the quote from Win to Give Take. Obama isn’t comfortable with winning, but taking is right up his alley. Give something to him so he can be great and redistribute it to the unions and welfare recipients. Then, make the comparison to Reagan who played George Gipp in the movie to Obama. Does Obama understand what that comparison is? I guess he believes the photo-shopped magazine covers that feature Reagan and Obama. (Note to Obama: That photo wasn’t real either.) The quote has nothing to do with Presidents in the original and only applied to Reagan as the actor who had a right to use it as the actor who first says the line.
