Dear Mr. Steele:
When the Republicans meet with the President, or when they brainstorm at a Financial Responsibility Summit, let’s do a better job of getting out the Republican ideas. Perhaps something as simple as a list of ideas from the Republicans requesting input for reform of social security, healthcare, tax reform, stimulus, etc. If they consult with us, then say we have no ideas, rebut them with actual input from those who gave it. So if the Dems say they had no ideas for Social Security Reform, we can say we proposed 15 concrete ideas on this date, who proposed them, and who in the majority they spoke to about including these ideas in any specific bill.
With better message control, the Dems can say we have no ideas, but they can be called on it. Then the ideas can be debated. Letting them get away with the false argument of no ideas is not acceptable.
