I continue to wonder why Obama is so tenacious about health care reform/takeover in light of the country’s need for jobs. At least twice he has said that his administration has no other priority above jobs, jobs, jobs. Yet everyday, the focus remains on health care. My feeling is that he is counting on a high unemployment rate to make people feel insecure enough to let the government take over health care. If there are less people employed then less have employer subsidized health insurance, then more feel really vulnerable. High unemployment may be collateral damage to get health care.
