It is unsettling to see the process play out. Yes, General McChrystal is responsible for the “loose lips” of his staff that has resulted in the Rolling Stone report on disrespectin’ Pres. Obama. I know, it is against the rules for the military to speak out in this fashion. It was stupid. I have to think that under the stress of command in Afghanistan, the staff, in true bravado fashion, trash talked their bosses. It was incredibly stupid to do so within earshot of a publication that would like nothing better than to rat on the military. Now it will all play out on the world stage. People will be ruined. So sad.

I can’t help but think about the recent photos showing Obama staffers playing shirtless beer pong. They might have been trash talking their bosses. They did this while the ongoing crisis in the gulf was happening. While the President and his minions were telling us there was no greater urgency of the President and his staff, there are some of them shirtless and swilling beer. Just blowin’ off some steam while under pressure. Sorta like Pres. Obama needing to play golf at least once a week during this crisis.

Perhaps if Gen. McChrystal and staff had been shirtless swilling beer or on the golf course, it would have been excusable.

It is sad.
