The Dems are in the Peanut Gallery waiting to try to cut the legs out from under the Republicans that propose big cuts to spending.  They Dems and the President have not stepped up to the plate to propose any real cuts.  Even when the acknowledge that there needs to be cuts in entitlement programs, they do not actually propose these cuts.  To them, it is all about the campaign for 2012.  They want the issue of “Draconian Cuts” to be there for them.  They want a government shutdown to pin on the Republicans.  In Wisconsin and Indiana, the Dems fled the state rather than do their job.  The Dems on the national level are doing nothing but waiting to pounce on Republicans for spooning out the bad tasting medicine.  When they do “engage” in talks, they come from the “no real cuts” starting point to little more than minor cuts.

Republicans need to be bold and come at this situation with real cuts, across the board or targeted.  Do not split the difference as this always favors the Dems and the spenders.  Draconian cuts are the only thing that can salvage this situation and save my kids’ futures. Shut it down if you have to.

Quit whining and starve the beast.
