Michele Obama in Rehab

I find it amazing that this morning we are being treated to pictures of the First Lady schlepping around Target.  This is the White House’s attempt to rehab the First Lady.  We are supposed to believe that she regularly goes to the same stores we go to, dressed just like we dress, carrying out bags of the kind of stuff we would buy.  Last week she was wearing a $42,000 bracelet.  Some reports that her travel expenses are exorbitant have come out this summer.  So, time for the PR guys to send her to rehab, or Target.  Amazing how the photographer just happened to catch this shopping spree.  Gone are the expensive bracelets and the $500 ugly tennis shoes.

If you believe that Michele really shops Target in her ball cap on a regular basis, you probably believe that the President was only on the west coast last week to promote his jobs bill and he didn’t attend 7 fundraisers in the space of a few days.

Remember, she is just like you and me.  I might believe it when she turns up in my Walmart.

Don’t Ask Don’t Tell

I turned in my blog to AttackWatch (the creepy turn in your neighbor for saying Obama is a poo-poo head site).  Now I get an e-mail daily for the Obama campaign touting his great works and asking for some money.

Jen O’Malley Dillon said this in today’s e-mail:

“Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” officially became history. It’s done. That’s something that we’ll tell our kids about — and this President helped finally do it.”

I’ll probably be pretty old when I gather my indebted grandchildren around me on a warm September night.  I will probably get a little misty-eyed when I tell them the story of how  2nd Cousin, twice removed, Little Willie met his husband in the barracks because of our brave Barack.

I can’t help but think that this evidently monumental accomplishment of BHO will be detrimental as a policy of the military.  There will be many unintended consequences.

Michele’s Beautiful Borrowed Bracelet

The Dow is down pretty bad this week by 500 or more points.  The IMF downgraded our future growth.  Moody’s downgraded Bank of America.  More rain in the northeast and no rain in Texas.  There is still a big war in Afghanistan that we don’t hear much about.  The Super Committee is meeting with no input from Obama other than the mandate to pay for his new programs.

Michele Obama borrowed some beautiful diamond cuff bracelets for a UN banquet or a campaign event in New York.  Thank goodness the Obama’s are recognizing the awful situation we are in.  Obama’s answer to everything is tax the rich.  Only the rich get to buy and occasionally borrow these kind of beautiful bracelets.  Remember what crap Nancy Reagan got for doing stuff like this?  No, I guess they don’t.

Iranians Release Clueless Americans

It is great that the remaining two American hikers have been released.  Money changed hands.  Their families must be ecstatic.

NOW – What were they thinking?  Who goes hiking in a war zone?  Didn’t some alarms go off in their families when this was proposed?  What airline flies to Iraq?  Statement upon release by one of the hikers shows he is concerned about political prisoners in America?  What a bunch of crap.

Stimulus Jr.

I am waiting for Pres. Obama to lay out his plan to be re-elected to grow the economy by making jobs appear.  It appears that his best idea is to spend more money, tax the rich, go for some more shovel-ready union employing infrastructure, and cut the military.  Oh wait, I forgot about funding green companies like Solyndra that his campaign donors invest in. He will take pains to tell us that he will pay for all this stuff, but he won’t tell us how.  His grand idea is to let the new super committee come up with lots more cuts or taxes to handle this new Stimulus Jr.

Whatever… I’m sure it will work just as good as the last time.  I am guessing that this plan will really impress the committee at Standard and Poors.  Greece does have a very dynamic economy, doesn’t it?

Iraq War Troop Withdrawal

Yesterday there was speculation about the withdrawal of all but 3000 American troops in Iraq.  Word was that the Generals wanted 25,000 to 30,000 left in, but might settle for 15,000.  Word is that new SecDef Leon Panetta is caving to the number that suits Pres. Obama – 3000.  That seems to me to be 3000 sitting ducks unable to do much on the ground.  Further there is a “training the Iraqis” meme that makes me wonder if there is any hope for the last 3000.

Remember when there was questioning from liberals and anti-war folks about why the Bush twins weren’t fighting in this war Dad was responsible for?  So, now I wish to ask the same question of Pres. Obama.  Would you feel good about this 3000 troops if Sasha or Malia were there in uniform?  I doubt he would want them to be there in such small numbers.

It seems to me that this serves Obama’s goals, but not much else.  There will be problems if there are only 3000 troops in Iraq.  Seems that since we have Obama as President, there isn’t that much news on deaths or our troops.  So this way, soldiers will die but there won’t be much press on it.

Aunt Obama and Uncle Omar – Illegal Aliens

The President’s Press Secretary told us yesterday that the President was not aware of the arrest of his Uncle, an illegal alien, in Massachusetts last week after a DUI arrest.  Uncle Omar has been here for a long time, traveling under the immigration radar.  Except for the deportation order that was outstanding on him.

I know it is illegal for a federal employee to look up government info on someone.  This is how it should be.  However, when the Obama aunt, illegal alien, on the dole in public housing, thinking she deserved it came out a year or so ago, why didn’t Obama himself request any information on other family members so this didn’t pop up again.  It is like having lots or free-loading Billy Carters hidden in the closet.  Obama is our first President who is a first generation American on his dad’s side with lots of foreign relatives.  Couldn’t someone have seen this coming and checked into it with the President’s permission.

Further, how is it that his Aunt was eligible for public housing assistance?  How did his uncle, under deportation order, get a Social Security card and Driver’s License? Please answer, Janet Napolitano.  And the answer isn’t “we need a comprehensive immigration bill passed”.

DOJ Fast and Furious Investigation

There are stories out this week that people involved with ATF Fast and Furious Gun Scandal are resigning and being moved around within the Justice Dept.  This would signal to me that the DOJ’s in-house cover-up investigation about the stupid program is done and they have reasons to round up the wagons reassign people to make sure they have their stories straight.

Oh, wait, the Justice Department is really busy harassing Gibson Guitars over imported wood.  I can see why this would be a priority for them.
