Greek and Chrysler Bonds

Posted by madjillmom on October 28, 2011

Big news out yesterday was a basic framework of bailing out Greece.  The Greek bondholders will hopefully get 50 cents on the dollar for their investment.  Amazing in light of the fact that Obama screwed the Chrysler bond holders and they only got only 30 cents on the dollar.  Wow.  Kinda makes you wish Grandpa had invested in Greece instead of Chrysler.  Then Grannie could afford almost twice as much Alpo for dinner.

Guns, Rape, and Sheriff Joe

Posted by madjillmom on October 20, 2011

VP Joe Biden has been very outspoken this past week or so.  He thinks it would do us Republicans good to have a gun waved in our face.  (Would this be in the same way Gabby Giffords had a gun waved in her face?)  Maybe his next request will be that all Conservative women will be raped.  Evidently being threatened with a gun will make us amenable to passing more spending even though we are broke. Pretty soon some far left wingers or Occupy Wall Street types will take notice and feel that it is a good idea to get rid of those of us demonized by Biden, Pelosi, and Obama.  You know, us clean air hating, clean water hating, cop hating, teacher and child hating, women hating, Tea Party types.  Inciting violence is a reasonable thing if you are a liberal.

Crapping on Cop Cars

Posted by madjillmom on October 10, 2011

While I still have some remaining bit of sympathy with many of the Occupy Wall Street folks, it is fast evaporating.  Evidently Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama feel it is a good idea to align themselves with the sort of crowd who would think it is neat to crap on a police car.  Pictures are available.  Yes, I agree with you Nancy, this movement is “organic” because poop is organic.

So much disdane and disparaging of Tea Party people, so little of this crazy group and their makeup.

Killing Christians in Egypt

Posted by madjillmom on October 10, 2011

Remember when the Arab Spring was Obama’s favorite awakening of democracy in Egypt.  Well, that Arab Spring with peaceful protesters (who raped and assaulted an American female reporter) has turned into the Kill the Christian Autumn.  How long will it take Hillary and Barack to acknowledge this situation.  I hope it doesn’t take as long as things are still taking in Libya or all the Coptic Christians will be dead.

I know things in this world are very complicated, but someone needs to hold the administration accountable for such an epic fail.

Kill the Rich

Posted by madjillmom on October 6, 2011

Remember when the MSM ran with a story that Tea Party participants spit at black lawmakers and called them the “N” word.  Video showed no such occurrences and Breitbart offered money for proof that such things happened.  Now, the false accusations have been elevated to practical urban legend status without any real truth behind the myth.

Now, Politico has reported about a possible fringe element of the Occupy Wall Street groups having sent e-mails to NY legislators demanding that a millionaire tax be extended or the rich will be killed.  Will the mainstream media tar and feather the Occupy Wall Street crowd with this e-mail threat?  No.  Probably not.  Nothing to see here…

Occupy Wall Street and Dim Prospects

Posted by madjillmom on October 6, 2011

I have generally felt that the MSM-hyped movement Occupy Wall Street is a bunch of crap with a bunch of clueless young people doing what young people do generally – back extremely liberal ideas in the name of utopian goals.  This general feeling I have about them is reinforced by their association with MoveOn.com and unions.  Most of their demands are laughable such as a $20 minimum wage and forgiveness of all existing debt by banks.

Then I started reading some of the handwritten bios and situations put forth on wearethe99percent.tumblr.com/.  Some of the people are clueless as I suspected and bad at spelling and grammar.  Most are whining, but there is still something that comes through.  Many are young people with tremendous college debt who can’t find a good job.  They have been duped by the notion of expensive college educations and grad school ad nauseam nostrums regarding creating a good life.  Many feel the only way out is to go to more grad school.  These things are changing and many have and will be stung by the old thinking that school debt is good debt that will be made up quickly along the way.

As a person who is Tea Party, I don’t think I have much in common with the Occupy WS youth, yet I still feel the overwhelming sense that my children will have much harder lives because of the mistakes of the past.  There is a strong sense among both groups that those who played by the rules are getting screwed.  The youth are losing their promised bright futures.  It is sad.  Tea Party people feel that government is the problem, Occupy Wall Street groups think corporations are the problem and government is the answer to everything.

Steve Jobs and Government Investment

Posted by madjillmom on October 6, 2011

I am struck by the coincidence of the death of Steve Jobs and the ongoing story of the failure of the US government’s investment in Solyndra. Thank goodness Steven Jobs was able to get a loan guarantee from the government for his vision of a life changing Apple Corporation.  Would we have an I-Pad without this generous foresight of the US government?  No.  Would be able to pop in a dvd of Toy Story to entertain ourselves without a government handout to pursue these great ideas?  Never!

Same situation with Microsoft, FaceBook, and Walmart.  None of this would have been possible without the loan guarantees from a benevolent and all knowing government.  Further, to compete with China, we must do this.  The goal is to compete with China, a communist government by subsidizing industry.  I’m pretty sure I am right about all this.  Government as venture capital.  This morning’s news shows a great man dead and information that the government was considering giving more loan guarantees to Solyndra.

Obama’s 10/6/11 Press Conference

Posted by madjillmom on October 6, 2011

Thoughts on this press conference:

He really likes to hear himself talk.

He lectures banks about doing business and making prudent loans.  Then he is asked question about Solyndra – one of the biggest and least prudent loans around.

He keeps saying the Republicans have been for stuff in his jobs/stimulus bill in the past and will have to explain why they aren’t now.  Explanation – $14.8 trillion in current US debt.

He keeps saying his jobs bill is paid for.  Nothing is paid for when you borrow 40 cents on every dollar the government spends.

He really doesn’t want to campaign, he wants to stay and negotiate with congress so he won’t be able to run against a “do nothing congress”. By the way, he is going on another “bus trip” in a week to promote this jobs bill.  Does he really ride the bus from town to town or does he get off after a photo op and take Air Force One to the next town?

Republicans should have their program to put people back to work scored by the independent economists that tell him his program will create millions of jobs.  Just who are these economists that have told him his bill is going to work?   Give us names.  Are they the same economists that told you that the last huge stimulus would work?

It is all the Republican’s fault and he has bent over backward to negotiate with them.  Republicans want the air to be dirty.

Only two questions about Solyndra and Fast and Furious.  Epic fail, Press.

Propping up state and local government is the only way to grow jobs.

The only way to innovate is to have government investment.  GM Volt, Fiat, Solyndra, etc.

People put off going to doctors.  Didn’t Obamacare fix this?

Fast and Furious Reporter

Posted by madjillmom on October 5, 2011

If I were a conspiracy type, I might believe that CBS has sent reporter Sharyl Attkinson to Re-Education Camp for pursuing Fast and Furious too hard.

Oh, wait, I am the conspiracy type.  I think the ATF did the bidding of the Dept. of Justice to push the need for more gun control laws by walking guns into the hands of narco-terrorists in Mexico.  What did Attorney General Eric Holder know and when did he know it?

Obama by the Numbers

Posted by madjillmom on October 2, 2011

Paint by the numbers your own Hope/Barack Obama poster?  No.  This is a presentation by Robert Shoup on Flicker showing things the President has said and what the numbers show.  Great flicker presentation that I went to because of my favorite blog, Instapundit.  Take a few and look it over.
