John Corzine’s and MF Global

Posted by madjillmom on December 8, 2011

Today, Democrat Former Senator and Governor John Corzine said he is stunned that there is money missing from bankrupt MF Global and doesn’t know where it is.  Has he looked in his sock drawer?

He was the first guy Biden called to fix the economy.  He was on PresBO’s short list for Treasury Secretary.  This bankruptcy will cost the taxpayers.  Thanks Dems, it’s no big deal, it’s just taxpayer’s money.

Life Isn’t Fair

Posted by madjillmom on December 8, 2011

PresBO’s most overused word for this year is “fair”.  The rich should pay their fair share. Everyone should get a fair shake.  The more he pushes for his version of fairness, the more I can see a little boy screaming that it isn’t fair that someone else’s cookie has more sprinkles than his does.  Didn’t his mother tell him that life isn’t fair?  Didn’t he have to do some sit-ups in Jr. High because some twerp acted up during PE?  Doesn’t he know that if life were fair, he wouldn’t be President?  After all, he was the newcomer.  John McCain had already stood in line for a long time.  We all get dealt a hand, some are smart, some are beautiful, some are rich, some are poor.  Obama is smart, beautiful, and rich.  Is that fair?

Food Stamps and Smart Phones

Posted by madjillmom on December 8, 2011

I was reading a story on Yahoo earlier.  The story said that a 12 yr. old girl had made status updates to FaceBook while her mother was at the benefits office in San Antonio.  The mother took her two kids to the office and shot her children and killed herself in protest to not receiving benefits.  So, she was claiming that there was no food for her children, yet her daughter obviously had access to a smart phone to update her FB status.  So, this means that the mother (a nutcase to be sure) wanted food stamps but was also able to afford a smart phone for herself or her daughter.  The cheapest smart phone with access to the internet is about 50 per month, not including the initial outlay of cost of phone and account.

I strongly suspect that most people on food stamps and other forms of welfare have smart phones, cable, internet, computers, and large screen TVs.    What does this say about our poor people?

Obama’s Hawaii Vacation

Posted by madjillmom on December 7, 2011

PresBO finally saw the optics of telling all of Congress to pass the extension of the social security tax reduction by staying in DC while he goes to Hawaii for a 17 day vacation.  He has now said he will stay until Congress acts.  The problem is that he will send Michelle and the girls ahead.  This will cost a whole lot of extra taxpayer dough.  And it isn’t the first time Michelle has taken a plane ahead of the President.

Most people can’t take a 17 day vacation in Hawaii at Christmas.  My husband is going to get an extended vacation soon.  He will be unemployed after the New Year.  Maybe we can go to Hawaii for 17 days like Obama.
