Democrat Convention Hosts Muslim Shindig

I am not at all certain what a Jumah is.  I saw this report on Gateway Pundit and started trying to figure out what it is.  It is a congregational prayer service that might be attended by 20,000 Muslims.  It is sponsored by BIMA, the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs. One write-up says that there might be 20,000 Muslims in attendance.

What exactly are indigenous Muslims?  Indigenous is used as native, original, or naturally occurring as we refer to American Indians.  Muslims are not indigenous to America.  I looked at the BIMA website.  This is their mission statement:

THE BUREAU OF INDEGENOUS MUSLIM AFFAIRS (BIMA) IS A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION SEEKING STATUS WITH THE UNITED NATIONS AS A NON GOVERMENTAL ORGANIZATION (NGO). BIMA WAS FOUNDED IN 1992 BY THE LATE HAJJ HESHAAM JAABER. THE OBJECTIVE OF BIMA IS TO PROVIDE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO INDIGENOUS MUSLIMS IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

(Please note misspellings are on the original website.  I copied and pasted the statement.)

I can’t really figure this out.  It seems like a religious group that wants to use their might to help those of their tribe under their own rules and ideology.  Not like the crazy-ass Catholics who open their hospitals to all faiths who are now being required to subject themselves to mandates from Obamacare to hand out contraceptives. Please note that the DNC turned down an offer from Cardinal Dolan to pray at the DNC.

I doubt that the crowd will be 20,000.  What if the Mormons held a congregational prayer meeting at the Republican National Convention and 20,000 Mormons showed up.  The press would go crazy.
