Obama – More Flexible with Putin Again in Ukraine

Posted by madjillmom on February 28, 2014

Before the 2012 Election, Obama sent a message that he could be more flexible with Putin after his re-election. So tonight, he continued to be flexible. He contorted himself into the shape of a quivering bowl of jello by announcing that he is thinking about doing something real bad if Putin continues to invade the Ukraine. He threatened to talk with others about writing a strongly worded statement in tandem with other countries to be named at a later date. Consequences are overwhelming. Putin will surrender soon, I am sure.

How interesting that Obama tries to look strong with wussy threats of nothing in the same week he announces severe and continued cuts in the military. Russia, North Korea, and Iran are watching. Obama is weak.

The Ukraine and Obama’s Smart Diplomacy

Posted by madjillmom on February 19, 2014

Finally, with fires burning you can see from space, with deaths on the street from riots, Obama has pivoted from whatever his last pivot actually was. It started to bubble up yesterday. He dispatched Joe Biden to call the Ukraine. This didn’t work apparently, so he is now picking up his phone and making a phone call himself. Great. That should fix it. The world has such a love for King Obama, his Nobel Peace Prize dusted and shining on his shelf, that his phone call will work some of the Obama magic once again. You know, like Libya, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Thailand, Israel, South Sudan, and all those other places he has fixed.

Keystone Pipeline Decision – 8 More Agencies Must Weigh In

Posted by madjillmom on February 4, 2014

Remember after Obama lost the House in 2010, his 2011 State of the Union speech promised to eliminate duplication and excess regulation in our ever-growing government. His talking point was amusing, citing the salmon and the agencies that regulate it in freshwater, another in salt water, another when caught, and another when canned or sold. Guess he wasn’t able to do anything about that.  Another Obama promise flushed down the drain.

We have now heard from the State Department on the Keystone Pipeline. They say it won’t cause very much damage. So now, Obama can’t OK it because 8 more government agencies have to study it and weigh in. The 800 lb. gorilla is the EPA who won’t want it. What other agencies are the other 7?  It took 5 years to get to this point. Ridiculous.

While Obama fiddles and whines about Fox News, this oil will go to China. China gives not one whit about clean air and carbon in the atmosphere. If you love the world and want to protect it, build the pipeline. It is kind of funny how Obama uses his pen without authority to be King but won’t use his actual power on something like this.

Rap/Hip Hop and the State Department

Posted by madjillmom on January 31, 2014

The State Department is having a rapper over to speak to the ranks of diplomats about Rap and Hip Hop. What a waste of time, money, and effort. What bullshit! Go ahead, waste your time.

Next time you are dealing with despots like Assad and Putin, just consider what you learned in this fascinating interview promoted by the State Department. I am sure it will help keep Iran nuclear free. I am certainly convinced that it will stack the deck against the ever stronger Putin. Further, I am sure that it will make dealings in deepest, darkest Africa so much better for having a greater understanding of the black experience in our inner cities. I bet this is just the “think outside the box” kinda thing that will finally allow Israel and Palestinians to work it all out somehow? How will this help anything? It certainly won’t bring back the 4 killed in Benghazi who didn’t have enough security while the State Department promoted electric cars in Austria at a great expense.

The world will laugh in John Kerry’s recently remodeled face. Mission out of control. Fire the person who thinks this is how to upgrade diplomats. Or maybe if the rapper raised some money for Obama, he can be Ambassador to some great African country like Kenya.

Syria and Russia Dupe Obama Again

Posted by madjillmom on January 31, 2014

With less than 2 weeks to go, Syria has only given up less than 5% of their chemical weapons in the agreement with Kerry/Obama. They still have 95% to give over for destruction. The State Department admits that Syria/Assad is stalling and yanking their chain, with the backing of Putin/Russia. So Obama is back to square one, weaker than before, having rubbed out his red line when he turned in cowardice and sought a diplomatic option they knew wouldn’t work when Kerry misspoke at a meeting with the Russians. Iran has watched how this is done. Make a diplomatic deal, don’t follow thru, cook up a bomb and deposit it on Israel all while Obama does a song and dance about how he won’t let Iran go nuclear.

Putin – Stronger

Assad – Stronger, still in power, and he lied about how much chemical weapons he actually has

Iran – Stronger and disputing all the claims of Obama about their deal that we can’t read. (Why is the deal secret?)

Obama – Arrogant, Secretive (on Iran deal), and much Weaker. His half-brother wants Israel wiped off the face of the earth (the scarf incident) and I think he would be just fine if the Islamic Republic of Iran (he calls them this all the time) got the bomb.

Shock and Awe vs. Unbelievably Small

Posted by madjillmom on September 9, 2013

Ten days ago Sec. of State Kerry gave an impassioned speech imploring us to punish Assad for using gas against his own people, killing children and civilians in a horrible death. A strike was iminent. Flash forward to yesterday. Now Sec. Kerry tells us this punishment that must be meted out will be “unbelievably small“.

Kinda like Obama’s backbone. Don’t make threats that you won’t back up, Obama.  Don’t send your people out to talk big and then slink off to the golf course. Don’t draw the red line and then deny you drew it. You look like a ball-less fool. Either this is important, a moral imperative, or we can wait until congress votes, and then ignore the vote because you look so weak and you have made America look weak. Adopt “America, the Moral Superpower” or don’t!

Obama’s Invisible Coalition

Posted by madjillmom on September 8, 2013

Sometimes young children have invisible friends. Obama has an invisible coalition to help him with this dreadful Syrian gas attack by that little Hitler, Assad. Perhaps the press should just humor Obama and Kerry as they tell us that other countries are with us in Obama’s grand endeavor to provide consequences for crossing his the world’s red line.

Limited Strike on Syria

Posted by madjillmom on September 4, 2013

If you strike at a King, you must kill the King. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

I do not know what should be done about Syria’s Assad. He now has time to hide all the good stuff. If he survives the strike, he will be stronger to many. I do not have access to the intel that Obama does. I am concerned that the British have backed out. Lots and lots of talk about degrading Assad but not changing the momentum. Didn’t Obama say Assad “must go”?

The use of gas is reprehensible. We are the only superpower that will do anything. If Obama has the balls, if his partisan nature hasn’t burned every bridge, if the national press holds him to account…

Obama didn’t plan very well. One overriding issue with me is the American military advisors in Jordan at the Syrian border. Makes me thankful one of our sons is in Afghanistan.
