Gay Marriage and Bi-Sexuals

Posted by madjillmom on June 26, 2015

Ok, the President just gave a mighty shout out to the LGBT community praising them for changing the meaning of marriage in a whopping 10 year span. They were so patient while constantly pushing, pushing for this new right. Ok, the the G and the L can now marry. How long until the B community decides they must have the right to choose their mate based on their love of both sexes?

The New Marriage vs. Religious Freedom

Posted by madjillmom on June 26, 2015

Pres. Obama made a victory speech yesterday after the Obamacare ruling came down. Again today, he made a victory speech. Within two hours he will be at the pulpit at the funeral of the minister of the AME Church in Charleston. Will this new “law by Supreme Court” require the next minister at this church perform gay wedding? Obama touted this ruling as making us more free. Will those with religious convictions about this issue have more freedom?

Now that the battle for Gay Marriage is over, what will they want next. Total acceptance or you are a bigot.

The New Thought Police

Posted by madjillmom on April 29, 2014

A 80 year-old NBA franchise owner, Donald Sterling, tells his young mistress (with 3 different aliases) some awful racist things during a phone conversation that was probably illegally taped. The man has a history of racism that evidently has been well known. This same man was to receive a NAACP Lifetime Achievement Award even with this known history. Evidently, you can buy an NAACP award. What this man told his “sweet young thing” was reprehensible. So now the NBA is suspending him for life, fining him $2.5 million, and is trying to force him to sell his franchise. The man is most certainly a racist. But he hasn’t broken the law in regard to his NBA franchise.  Is Charles Barkley now calling for an all-black NBA?

About a month ago, gay rights groups ran the CEO of Mozilla out of town and out of his job for giving a contribution to a group supporting traditional marriage. This man did nothing illegal, but evidently he couldn’t be left alone to run a company.

College campuses all over the nation scheme to make it hard for those with conservative thoughts to participate in the debate. College fees won’t fund conservative speakers, conservative newspapers are stolen and confiscated, conservative speakers are sent away or heckled. Rutgers is trying to push Condoleeza Rice out. Brandeis un-invited Hirsi Ali because of complaints about her stand on Islam.

The IRS decides after signals from Obama about the Citizens United Supreme Court decision that conservative tea-party groups are to suffer at the hands of a politicized behemoth government agency.

The thought police are here.

Sending Money to Mitt

Posted by madjillmom on June 29, 2012

I don’t usually send money to politicians.  But today I sent money to Mitt.  I sent money to Freedom Works.  I sent money to Ted Cruz.  Would definitely consider going to Tea Party on the 4th if there is one somewhere near.  (Did I mention my husband doesn’t have a premanent job?)  This nation will not survive another 4 years of Obama.

Obama and the Dems never met a tax they couldn’t love and embrace.  Obamacare has 21 taxes in it.  Let them run on their pride in Obamacare.  If they think the Supreme Court decision on Obamacare makes it more palatable to people, they have another think coming.

King Obama and the Supreme Court

Posted by madjillmom on April 5, 2012

PresBO has already had the privilege of appointing two justices to the Supreme Court.  I think he can remember that they weren’t elected.  What has come through in his words this week is probably a heartfelt feeling that the Supreme Court wouldn’t strike down Obama’s signature legislation, Obamacare, because he is Obama.  Yes, other President’s have had laws declared unconstitutional over these many years, but they weren’t Obama.  They weren’t the smartest, brightest, most loved and adored PresBO.  His superior intellect is such to behold that the Supreme Court should just rubber stamp anything that is signed by the left hand of Obama.  Surely, the SC and all the other people in the country knows that PresBO is just so much more than all those who have gone before them.  Don’t they know that those foolish checks and balances on Presidential power were really only necessary with those other lessor mortals who came before.  Get with the program, Supreme Court, or King Obama will bring you down.

King Obama

Posted by madjillmom on February 23, 2011

When the Founding Fathers put together the basis and structure of our government by writing the Constitution, the called for a government with three separate branches, each with their own roles to play.  For those who vote for Democrats, those branches are the legislative (House and Senate), the judiciary (Supreme Court), and the executive (President).  This system provides for check and balances so no one branch gets too much power.

Today, the Executive Branch, King Obama, and his lefty Attorney General Eric Holder, have announced that they do not like a law passed when Clinton was President.  Holder and King Obama have decided that the law is unconstitutional so the Justice Department will not do prosecute based on this law.  Someone call the Supreme Court and let them know they aren’t needed anymore.  Someone notify the House and Senate that their laws are not to be followed at the whim of the King.

Eric Holder has already shown that his department is not interested in prosecuting the laws equally in the New Black Panther case of voter indimidation.  Now there is another law they intend to ignore.  The Defense of Marriage Act is a state’s rights issue that the King does not agree with.  The King has been hinting at his royal evolution on this matter for a while now.  Perhaps he will come out with a scroll and read a new edict on the matter.

The Constitutional Professor now King has decided that the Constitution isn’t that important.  There need be no 3 branches anymore.

The Constitution is being shredded by our King. Can revolution be far behind?

George Will on Questions for Kagen

Posted by madjillmom on June 28, 2010

George Will has a really good piece on questions that should be asked of Elena Kagan. Hope someone steps up to the plate on this one.

Elena Kagen

Posted by madjillmom on May 12, 2010

How awful to have your unknown sexual preference so openly speculated upon. How awful to have yourself un-outed by friends. It is a weird world we live in.

How awful to punish the military and deny access to them. How foolish to feel that the students of Harvard are too stupid to make their own decisions regarding Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. How embarrassing to come out on the wrong side of a Supreme Court unanimous decision in this day an age. Is that a dis-qualifier?

Sonia Sotomayor Damaged

Posted by madjillmom on July 17, 2009

Ok, the Republicans on the committee have damaged her a little.  They have managed to convince many of us that she was chosen on her qualifications of being a woman and a hispanic or “latina” as is the preferred exalted phrase.  The hearings have shown that she will do anything, say anything to be a judge on the SC.  The hearings have also shown that she wasn’t chosen because of her deep grasp of knowledge.  They have managed to slap her wrist about her empathy quotient.  Perhaps she will try harder to avoid that type of judging now that we are all looking for that kind of thing out of her.

I would like to see 30 Republicans come to the microphones and give the Obama standard for why they aren’t voting for her.  “While she is fully qualified, I have chosen to not support her because Obama did the same thing to Justice Roberts.”  That would make me happy.
