Hillary’s Money Troubles

Posted by madjillmom on June 10, 2014

All I can say about Hillary and Bill’s monetary struggles after he left the Presidency is this:

Arkansas is so much cheaper to live in than New York and Washington, DC. If you had moved back there, you wouldn’t have had to pedal your speeches for a $100,000,000 or more to buy two big ass houses.

Bossy Banning

Posted by madjillmom on March 12, 2014

Beyonce wants to ban the word “bossy”. Now the Girl Scouts are joining the ranks of those trying to make the word verboten. There is an argument that the connotation is very negative and usually only used in reference to a female. I would definitely be considered bossy. Big Deal.

I can’t help but wonder if this urge to ban “bossy” has something to do with the eventual campaign of Hillary. Seems a word made to be used with Hillary. Let’s ban all words that might make Hillary look bad. Let’s make sure that anyone who questions her credentials and accomplishments is called sexist.

If I were Beyonce, I would really consider banning the word SLUT after her last video.

White House Tours Back On

Posted by madjillmom on October 18, 2013

Pres. Obama has decided to allow White House tours again. Sequestration was the reason they originally suspended White House tours for students and others. Sequestration is still on for everyone else, but somehow the Secret Service has found a pot of money to make the tours again available.

It seems the White House understands the optics of the usual over the top Christmas parties and decorating in the age of sequestration shutting down tours.

Everyone knows that the tours could have been funded other ways with a reasonable prioritization of the funds available. Obama wanted us to feel the pain. But he wants to have a lot of good parties over the Christmas season, so her come the tours.

How stupid do you think we are?

US Taxpayer’s Fund Upscale Car Lot in Ukraine

Posted by madjillmom on August 17, 2012

The Daily Caller has a story on this.

Yes, we evidently have so much money that we can lend money to an American Car Dealer to open an upscale car lot in the Ukraine. This is accomplished under a loan program that is supposed to result in some jobs and help for the car manufacturers. We all know the car companies and unemployed need jobs and investment. Unfortunately, the car companies aren’t American and the jobs are in the Ukraine. We are talking $20 million. Oh, did I mention that the guy who gets this loan is a good friend of Joe Biden and has given lots of cash to the Obama/Biden campaigns. Why are we bankrupting our children so the rich in the Ukraine can buy Porsches and Land Rovers?

Aspen for First Lady and the Girls

Posted by madjillmom on February 21, 2012

I don’t really love picking on Michele Obama.  But, sometimes, I have severe class warfare envy when it comes to her vacations.  A few months ago, we were all treated to a picture of Michele shopping incognito at the local Target.  This was put out to tell us she really isn’t highfalutin, but rather, just like us, picking up a few downscale designer duds for a night at the White House.

Now, just a few months after their long Christmas vacation, Michele and the girls are skiing in Aspen, staying at a millionaire’s home (gratis, I guess).  If, as I hope, this is the last year the Obama’s are our nation’s first family, I hope Michele goes on lots of vacations.  Just please don’t tell us in one breath you are just average folks, and then jet off to Aspen, while I am thinking about if the gas it takes to get to Target will eat up the money I have to spend there.

Oprah Winfrey Network

Posted by madjillmom on January 2, 2011

I am not a fan of Oprah Winfrey.  I thought she had value for about the first 10 years.  Then she became a religion of some kind.  Now she has a whole network to save us all.  I have tuned in.  A family is resolving their hoarding/clutter issues, their communication issues, and the deadly illness issue all on their front lawn surrounded by all their stuff.  Wow.  That certainly is taking it up a notch – crying and psychoanalysis on the front yard with cameras rolling.  I think  this could fix me.  Now if I can develop a terminal disease and kick up my clutter a few levels, I too can be saved by Oprah and her minions.

All the commercials so far seem to be enabling great things also.  Nissan Leaf, fabulous Diane Sawyer, Live to you true potential, and Oprah’s best friend’s show.  So far, there aren’t any beer commercials or weight loss products being shown.

Remember, don’t watch this network unless you are an Oprah hater such as myself.  (Hate really is too strong a word for my feelings for Oprah.)  If you step inside the network, you will be sucked into the cult, fed the KoolAid, and hunted down when you wake up from the unreality to the real world.  No one can escape.  I am not sure if there is deprogramming available for this new network yet.  Perhaps there is a employment opportunity there for me.

Now there is a program on call Miracle Detectives.  Will there be long lines in Chimayo, NM, seeking cure for illness and pain?  Maybe they should have just taken the man from the last show to this place to see if it might cure his leukemia.

Update:  I have watched almost an hour of this network and I can feel myself being sucked in.  Help me…  Please make it stop….  Oh, no!  This blog could be pro-Obama by the end of the week….

Tax Master’s Christmas Cheer

Posted by madjillmom on December 8, 2010

I generally love the Christmas programs on TV.  This year, I am constantly tickled to see that Tax Masters has a Christmas commercial.  It is basically the same commercial they usually have about “is the IRS hounding you?” with a nice snowing background and poinsettia border.   There are jingle bells ringing while the bearded guy (not Santa) tells us how to keep the IRS Grinch at bay.  If you haven’t filed your tax return for several years, this commercial dipped in Christmas is the least of your problems, unless you are a congressman or cabinet member.  Then back taxes are just a little inconvenience.

Rangel’s Nonexistent Shame

Posted by madjillmom on December 3, 2010

Congressman Charlie Rangel was censured by the House of Representatives yesterday.  The outgoing Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, read the censure to Rangel, who was standing in the well of the house.  Although hailed as a mark of shame, Rangel spoke after about how this punishment was not in line with his inadvertent actions, meant to harm no one.  Blah, Blah, Blah…

Nancy looked as though she were having an non-medicated colonoscopy while she read the charges in a pinched fashion.  She let Charlie the Swamp Monster frolic around the whole time she was supposed to be cleaning it up.  Since Bill Clinton was impeached, the mechanisms of shame in congress are utterly useless.

Democratic National Committee’s Sweetheart Loan

Posted by madjillmom on October 27, 2010

The Democratic National Committee has received a loan from the Bank of America with no real collateral.  I can’t get a loan, you probably would have to have some serious collateral for a loan, and the people who want to buy your house can’t get a loan.  But somehow, the DNC can run short of money and get a humongous line of credit.  Read this article from Pajamas Media to get the low down on what happens when you’re really special like the DNC.  Makes me see RED.  If you are a Bank of America shareholder, get ready to bend over.

What IS a Tea Party According to Bill Clinton

Posted by madjillmom on September 20, 2010

The man who taught us to question the meaning of “is” now is giving us his insight into the Tea Party movement.  On the one hand, he says the tea party members are mad about the greedy wall street fat cats.  Then he says the tea party apparatus will result in more power in the hands of those fat cats.

Has Bill Clinton ever been to a Tea Party event?  Don’t think so.  Yet, he feels that he can feel their pain and that pain is too much capitalism, unfettered markets, and the need for more regulations.  Weird.  I though it was less government interference, smaller government, and lower taxes.

Thank goodness that Bill Clinton is around to let us know why we are so mad, leaning toward craziness and extremism.
