I do not care that Obama decided or Valerie Jarrett decided that Obama was not to attend the march in Paris this last weekend against Islamic Terrorism. I do believe that at the very least, Obama’s good friend and protector, Eric Holder who was in Paris should have attended. But he had other things to do. The Obama administration holds tightly to the notion that the problem is not really Islamic extremism. They now spin the line that the bad guys are not Islamic at all. Evidently, they now get to decide who is the true Islam.

The march is symbolic. Symbolism is OK. The march was not the other adherents of Islam in France telling the extremists that they cannot pervert Islam. No. It was the other people of France, rightfully appalled by the terrorism. The march was appealing in it’s multitudes, but not something that will matter in 6 months. It is evidently impossible to shame the Islamic terrorists. The march will be just like the “#BringBackOurGirls” campaign in April. It’s a symbol. Symbols do not hurt the people doing this. They fear nothing.

Meanwhile, the Barbarians keep on growing. Beheading those from the West, killing whole villages in Nigeria, passing out kidnapped girls for sex and marriage, murdering young people in their classes, lashing bloggers (in civilized Egypt), blaming the Jews for Charlie Hebdo (from NATO member Turkey, another civilized nation), teaching their children to kill with guns, giving their children dismembered heads to show off, telling their children to hate with cute and crude TV cartoons, stoning gays, mutilating the genitals of young women, on and on ad nauseam.

Obama’s answer to this is empty Guantanamo, give speeches, and cling to the notion that the problem lies not in Islam, not in the confusing Koran, and is somehow caused by the United States. His outreach and apology tour has borne fruit. Meanwhile, back at the White House, rested from a few weeks in Hawaii, Obama watches football.
