Obama has threatened to veto any bill that comes to his desk that imposes more sanctions on Iran. He certainly can stand up to the Republican controlled congress. He is all hardline on them. Iran doesn’t live up to its side of the bargain re: their nuclear bomb building program. Obama lets them miss deadlines. He extends their negotiations for months on end. They keep working on a bomb and Obama won’t hold them accountable.
Here is my suggestion:
Let congress pass harder sanctions. Sign that bill. Then when the Ayatollah has a fit, send Sec. of State John Kerry and a pop star over to Tehran to sing to him. If James Taylor isn’t available, perhaps Yusuf Islam a.k.a.Cat Stevens could sing Peace Train while holding up the fatwa on Salman Rushdie. John Kerry could kiss the Ayatollah and peace would reign in the world.

So Obama doesn’t go to the “Islam is the Problem” March. He doesn’t send Biden or Kerry. Even Eric Holder who was in Paris declined to participate for unknown reasons.
So now a hastily thrown together meeting with Sec. of State John (I can’t feel my chin anymore) Kerry featured James Taylor singing “You’ve Got a Friend”. OMG. This Sec. of State and the State Department is so incredibly lame. They have taken “Reset” to a whole new low. Somehow, I see the State Department hoping all those Islamic Radicals deluded people who misunderstand their own religion of peace running around Europe killing magazine people and Jewish customers, that they will hear James Taylor singing about love and friendship and see the good in us all.
Totally Lame.

It was a bit comical last night to see Jen Psaki (State Department Spokeswoman) being interviewed by Megyn Kelly last night. Megyn was asking about the bombshell from Leon Panetta about why Obama left Iraq against lots of advice not to. Jen Psaki kept saying that leaving 10,000 wouldn’t have been able to keep Iraq stable and free of ISIS/ISIL. Kept repeating that many troops would have been ineffective. The Pentagon wanted to leave behind 24000 troops and Maliki turned down Obama’s offer of 5000 troops left in Iraq. This is at the very same time that the Obama administration announces a Status of Forces agreement with Afghanistan of less than 10,000 troops.
So Obama left Iraq because of politics according to Panetta. He didn’t try very hard to leave forces in Iraq even though he and Hillary had lots of leverage. But Obama now thinks less than 10,000 can stay behind in Afghanistan and keep his “good war” gains in place. Jen Psaki also praised John Kerry’s brilliant effort in securing a less than 10,000 troops agreement. Jen Psaki kept telling Megyn that even the surge of troops was unable to contain Al Qaeda. How exactly did the story change during late 2011 that Al Qaeda was decimated. Lots of different stories out of this administration.

Remember when John Kerry threw his military medals over the White House fence in protest against the Vietnam War? Remember when he used his voice to call our troops war criminals? Here is a snippet of that speech he made, standing there with his 70’s long hair, hanging with the malcontents, working on his liberal bona fides:
“They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.”
Flash forward, past his stupid salute at the Democratic Convention and his “reporting for duty” speech to accept the nomination of his party, past the windsurfing and all the plastic surgery. Now he is the Sec. of State. Now he can actually see an Army wiping out villages, beheading journalists, and acting generally “in the fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan”. So, who you gonna call – the American Military, the ones you accused of war crimes, to protect your green zone embassy. Of course, don’t call it a war. Global climate change is really the bad thing according to Lt. John Kerry.

Stuff continues to trickle out about Bowe Bergdahl. Since any official report will be classified, we won’t ever really know. Obama and crew had hoped that this exchange would be hailed as a great thing, thus proving that Obama does care deeply about our military. This was necessitated by the VA scandal, where Obama (once again) appeared too calm and passive and claimed to learn about the issue from the news. Those who served with Bergdahl are saying he was a deserter. The White House doesn’t need this narrative. So now those around Obama are calling those who did serve with Bowe “liars” and “swift boaters”.
Remember who was swift boated. John Kerry. He aggrandized his service, received Purple Hearts for band-aid wounds, and trashed the military when he was out. Those who served with him didn’t want his version of his service to stand unchallenged, so they spoke up. Now Sec. of State John Kerry’s spokeswoman is telling us that only Bowe knows what happened and not those who were also there. Came very close to calling the vets “liars”.
We do need to hear from Bowe. It is good that he is being brought home to his family.
Another concern is Sec. of Def. Chuck Hagel telling us he doesn’t know what happened and we need to reserve judgement. Why doesn’t he know what is in the reports? Why didn’t he warn Obama that this was going to blow up and advise him to avoid the Rose Garden ceremony? Maybe he wasn’t informed that the swap was going to happen.
Did they inform those who went in to pick up Bowe from the Taliban the issues that surround Bowe? Gosh, I hope so, but I am not convinced that they did.
Did Obama know about any of the concerns about Bowe?

Speak softly and carry a big octothorpe isn’t exactly what Teddy did. But it is what Obama and John Kerry are doing. Obama’s entire foreign policy is so totally lame or inept. Somehow he thought that not being George Bush would be enough to make the world take notice and be better. Now we are weaker than ever. The President has no balls. His entire policy is hashtags, speeches and empty threats. Tee up some more sanctions against Putin while the citizens of Ukraine polish up on their Russian. Tweets versus troops massed on the Ukraine border.

Pretty funny.
Kerry acts like he doesn’t know anything about the Hillary Reset Button with Russia.
Now, Hillary starts talking about the Ukraine and pretty much distances herself from Obama, the Weak.
Obama just can’t figure out what exactly is going on. So much for being such a smart guy. I guess as soon as he figures out Putin and Russia, he can devote a little time to Iran/Syria/North Korea. Where is his subject matter expert, VP Joe Biden?

The State Department is having a rapper over to speak to the ranks of diplomats about Rap and Hip Hop. What a waste of time, money, and effort. What bullshit! Go ahead, waste your time.
Next time you are dealing with despots like Assad and Putin, just consider what you learned in this fascinating interview promoted by the State Department. I am sure it will help keep Iran nuclear free. I am certainly convinced that it will stack the deck against the ever stronger Putin. Further, I am sure that it will make dealings in deepest, darkest Africa so much better for having a greater understanding of the black experience in our inner cities. I bet this is just the “think outside the box” kinda thing that will finally allow Israel and Palestinians to work it all out somehow? How will this help anything? It certainly won’t bring back the 4 killed in Benghazi who didn’t have enough security while the State Department promoted electric cars in Austria at a great expense.
The world will laugh in John Kerry’s recently remodeled face. Mission out of control. Fire the person who thinks this is how to upgrade diplomats. Or maybe if the rapper raised some money for Obama, he can be Ambassador to some great African country like Kenya.

Ten days ago Sec. of State Kerry gave an impassioned speech imploring us to punish Assad for using gas against his own people, killing children and civilians in a horrible death. A strike was iminent. Flash forward to yesterday. Now Sec. Kerry tells us this punishment that must be meted out will be “unbelievably small“.
Kinda like Obama’s backbone. Don’t make threats that you won’t back up, Obama. Don’t send your people out to talk big and then slink off to the golf course. Don’t draw the red line and then deny you drew it. You look like a ball-less fool. Either this is important, a moral imperative, or we can wait until congress votes, and then ignore the vote because you look so weak and you have made America look weak. Adopt “America, the Moral Superpower” or don’t!

High dungeon and impassioned speech from Sec. of State John Kerry.
A Sequestered US Navy amassing ships near Syria at a great cost and at the command of the highest levels.
Defense Dept and State Department people told to not count on a relaxing Labor Day weekend.
Obama and some of his (political?) advisers take a walk around the White House lawn Friday evening. It is beautiful. There are butterflies flitting from bloom to bloom. Obama decides to make congress the fall guy and not take any action on his own. Kerry and Chuck Hagel are informed because they weren’t on the walk around the White House. Was Valerie Jarrett on the walk. She is Obama’s “balls”. She is the one who wouldn’t let us get bin Laden on two separate occasions. Leon Panetta and Hillary Clinton had to muscle Jarrett out-of-the-way in order to get Obama’s buy-in on the Navy Seal raid that killed UBL. Is she why Obama backed down? I wonder.
On Saturday, when we are all expecting at least a few missiles lobbed in Assad’s direction, Obama goes to play golf.
